Top New Orleans Cafes & Coffee Houses by Design
New Orleans is a very unique spot with plenty to offer. The cafes and coffee houses found throughout are also very unique. However, not all can compare when it comes to design. Some are simply more one-of-a-kind and just well put together. While this post isn’t about the actual coffee or other items each place serves, they are all well-known for what they do. Here’s a look at some of the top cafes and coffee houses in New Orleans when it comes to design. CC’s Coffee House – 2800 Esplanade Avenue The style of the building isn’t known, but it’s triangular and covers the entire 2800-block of Esplanade Avenue. It’s a unique design and blends in well with the neighborhood. The coffee house fits in with some of the most incredible homes found nearby, too. It’s a popular spot found in the Bayou St. John area with plenty to enjoy. The historic architecture of the area is rather popular, along with the many live oak trees. CC’s Coffee House includes a shaded patio area with brick perfect for anybody looking to get a caffeine fix and relax outside. Morning Call – City Park A building dating back to 1912, Morning Call is inside The City Park Casio building. It’s was designed in the Spanish Mission Revival times and still remains as one of the oldest buildings in the entire park. Morning Call is found on the first floor of the building. Fair Grinds Coffee House – 3133 Ponce de Leon Street As a part of the Fairgrounds neighborhood, this coffeehouse blends in perfectly. It’s found in a two-story shotgun structure and includes a large gallery. The bright red color makes this building stand out, but yet look like it belongs. The Bean Gallery – 637 North Carrollton Avenue A Mid-City option, this coffee house blends in well with the double gallery homes found nearby. It looks like it belongs and makes for a great choice for locals to enjoy. The Orange Couch – 2339 Royal Street While the design is more modern than others, this coffee house provides a chic look with plenty to offer. It blends into the neighborhood well and provides the true identity of a corner shop. All of these coffee houses and cafes offer something unique when it comes to the design. They blend into the surroundings well and embody design aspects known throughout New Orleans.
