TPC Louisiana

Found less than 15 miles from downtown, TPC Louisiana is known as the fourth-best upscale public golf course, according to Golf Digest. As the region’s headquarters of professional golf, TPC Louisiana offers an unparalleled experience of the sport in the area. The club boasts a renowned championship golf course with 18 professional-level holes, meticulously maintained to the PGA Tour’s highest standards of operation.

Lakewood Golf Club

Dating back to 1961, Lakewood Golf Course hosted 26 New Orleans Open Tournaments.  The course has won many awards over the years and provides incredible oak and cypress trees throughout. A recent multi-million dollar renovation makes this one of the most exciting courses to play.  It’s an unusual place with red flame traps on the 18th hole, along with many other unique features. The club also provides a great facility for golf camps, lessons and more. Lakewood Golf Club is one of the South’s premier golf destinations.

Bayou Oaks at City Park Golf Course

A newer choice at City Park, Bayou Oaks (South Course) offers a championship level course that has been designed to accommodate players of all skill levels covering about 250 acres of space. Sections of the old West and East course have been incorporated into this new South Course, while using existing lagoons and oak trees to create a beautiful and natural course. The course was designed by Rees Jones and has a distance ranging from 5,100 to 7,350 yards.

Joseph M. Bartholomew, Sr. Golf Course

This course was designed and built by Joseph M. Bartholomew, Sr., the first African American to create a public golf course in the country. It’s an 18-hole course going as long as 6,665 yards. The course changed its name in 1979 to honor Bartholomew.

City Park North Course

A very traditional choice, the City Park North Course goes back to 1902. This course provides 18 holes with an affordable price to enjoy a round of golf. It was one of the original 80 golf courses in the United States and started as a nine-hole option.
