Upcoming Event: Oyster Festival

If you love oysters, live music and plenty of fun, the Oyster Festival is the place for you. This two-day food festival is known as one of the best in the city. It’s a free festival, which will be held on June 2nd and 3rd this year.

Plenty of unique dishes will be available from local restaurants. In addition, the event will include cooking demos, arts and crafts, live music, contests and so much more. Whether you like oysters raw, chargrilled, in a salad, fried or on a po-boy, this is the event for you.

In addition to restaurants providing plenty of great oysters, NOLA Snow Snoballs will be at the event. While oysters take the main stage, there will also be other seafood dishes, hushpuppies, soups and so much more.

Along with the great food, there will be several local acts taking the stage. On Saturday, enjoy music from:

On Sunday, you can enjoy even more live music from:

There will also be an Acme Oyster Eating Contest and Shucking Contest, along with plenty of other fun things to do at the event.

The eating contest is actually the World Oyster Eating Championship and will feature several of the world’s best eating champions.

The event will also include largest oyster content.

Event Info

The New Orleans Oyster Festival will be held at Woldenberg Park on June 2nd and June 3rd. Saturday, the fun gets started at 10am and runs through until 8pm. on Sunday, things start at 10am and run until 8pm. There will be plenty of cooking demonstrations, contests, crafts and so much more. You can even get VIP passes for $75 to $125.

VIP passes allow you access to a private VIP Hospitality Lounge & Viewing Area. You will also get a ticket for any food item and five complimentary alcoholic drinks. Unlimited soda and water is also part of the VIP package.
