Upcoming Event: French Quarter Festival

Known as one of the most unique events in New Orleans, the French Quarter Festival features great food, excellent music and plenty of fun. It’s an event showing off the best of New Orleans and will be held from April 12th to 15th this year.

The Largest Free Music Festival in Louisiana

The French Quarter Festival is known as the largest free music festival in the state and one of the largest in the country. More than 12 stages will be set up with music ranging from jazz to funk to rock to Cajun and so much more. The three day event will be filled with incredible musical acts taking the stage and putting on a great show.

The Music

More than 100 artists will take the stage and provide plenty of great entertainment throughout the weekend.

Special Events

As a part of the French Quarter Festival, there are always great special events. This year’s special events include:

  •          GALA – 8pm to 10:30pm on March 15th at Antoine’s Restaurant with a Patron Party from 7pm to 8pm
  •          Free Dance Lessons from the NOLA Jitterbugs – April 13th to 15th on the French Market Traditional Jazz                 Stage and Chevron Cajun-Zydeco Showcases
  •          Let Them Talk: Conversations on Louisiana Music – April 14th and 15th from 11:30am to 5:30pm
  •          Film Festival – April 14th and 15th from 11:15am to 4pm
  •          Chevron Children’s Headquarters – April 14th and 15th from 11am to 5pm
  •          Port of New Orleans Water Display – April 14th at 5pm
  •          Battle of the Bands – April 14th from 5:30pm to 7pm
  •          French Quarter Fest Tricentennial Fireworks – April 14th 9pm
  •          St. Louis Cathedral Annual Spring Concert – April 15th at 3pm
  •          Dancing at Tusk – April 15th from 6pm to 7:15pm at the 400 block of Royal Street

Along with these special events, you won’t want to miss the World’s Largest Jazz Brunch at Woldenberg Riverfront Park and the French Quarter. This will happen on Sunday of the event with plenty of food on hand in the $3 to $5 price range. Pat O’Brien’s Hurricanes, po-boys, crawfish, jambalaya, meat pies and so much more will be on hand. Over 60 food and beverage vendors will be found throughout the French Quarter for the brunch.
