Every Day Is Valentine’s Day In New Orleans
A wise local once said, “Every day is Valentine’s Day In New Orleans.” In a city that oozes with sensual charm, we couldn’t agree more. Between the lustrous atmosphere, saxophones playing on every corner, and all-around oh la la ambiance, this is arguably one of the most charming cities in the world.
Valentine’s Day is only a few weeks away, and since the holiday falls on a Monday this year when most restaurants are closed, we listed five date ideas to partake in this V-Day.
#1. Take A Lovely Stroll On The Moonwalk
Known for its breathtaking views, The Moonwalk is one of the city’s most famous landmarks. Just imagine taking an evening stroll, hearing a soothing saxophone, while gazing up at the stars. It doesn’t get any more New Orleans than that.
#2. Hop On The Streetcar And Go Wherever It Takes You
One of my favorite things about the Crescent City is that no matter how hard you try, you can’t get lost here. New Orleans is called the Crescent City for a reason, the outline of the city follows the shape of a crescent moon, and you will always find your way back to where you started, discovering several hidden gems in between. Hopping on the streetcar and following where it takes you can lead you on an adventurous and fascinating journey this Valentine’s Day.
#3. Have A Romantic Picnic In Audubon or City Park
Everyone loves a good picnic. All you need is your favorite foods, a great bottle of wine, a good blanket, a great playlist, and you’re sure to have the Valentine’s Day of a lifetime.
#4. Enjoy The Art Galleries On Julia Street
The art galleries on and off of Julia Street have a way of drawing you in and capturing your spirit. Spending your Valentine’s Day touring art galleries while sipping on a glass of fine wine is the perfect V-Day date. There are also plenty of dining options in the Arts District if you want to grab a quick dinner and more drinks!
Whether you spend this Valentine’s day with your beau, your friends, or enjoying your own company, we hope you have a great holiday!
