Football season is right around the corner and baseball is just starting to get exciting. Before you know it, basketball and hockey will be back, too. With so many sports to watch, you need to know where to go in New Orleans to enjoy the big game.

New Orleans is home to several excellent sports bars. Since there are so many, we decided to split this blog post into a series. This is part one of three for the best sports bars in New Orleans. Let’s get started!

Henry’s Bar – 5101 Magazine Street

If you live in the Uptown/Garden District area, this is the spot for you. It’s a local favorite for catching the Saints game and cheap beer. Henry’s has been around for more than 110 years and provides a great atmosphere with good food and plenty of drinks.

Vitascope Hall – 601 Loyola Avenue

The name comes from the first for-profit movie theater in the world, which was built in New Orleans in 1896. This Central Business District spot offers 42 flat-screen TVs with plenty of drinks and food to enjoy. You’ll easily be able to catch the big game and even a few of the not so important ones here.

Manning’s – 519 Fulton Street

A casual sports bar with a restaurant, Manning’s offers craft beers and plenty of good food. They have more than 30 flat-screen TVs with a mega-screen and a sports anchor desk. The decor will make you feel like you’re in the right place for the big game. This Arts District option offers a great choice for anybody near the Convention Center.

The Bulldog Bar & Grill – 5135 Canal Boulevard

Those living in the Lakeview or Lakefront area will love this spot. They actually have locations in Uptown and the Garden District with more than 50 beers on tap and plenty in a bottle. This is a dog-friendly choice for catching the big game.

Beachcorner Bar & Grill – 4905 Canal Street

Most locals know this Mid-City hot spot as “the home of the 10-ounce Beach Burger.” but it’s also a great spot for catching the game. They have great happy hour specials on food and drinks with an excellent location for the big game.

Bayou Burger & Sports Company – 503 Bourbon Street

If you’re in the French Quarter, you can’t beat the Bayou Burger & Sports Company for the big game. Enjoy local brews, plenty of great food options and a casual spot for wasting the game.

Bullet’s Sports Bar – 2441 A.P. Tureaud Street

With a variety of great beer, live music and plenty of fun to be had here, you won’t want to miss a night out at Bullet’s. Of course, you can catch the big game here, as well. This is the go-to for those in the Gentilly area.
