Celebration In The Oaks is one of the largest holiday attractions in New Orleans. The epic event takes place inaugurally in the historic City Park and is a staple for Native New Orleanians and tourists. This holiday season, the event is expanding to the Botanical Garden and amusement park. There will also be a few nights dedicated to bike riders. Celebration In The Oaks will be open to January 1st.
The Roosevelt Waldorf Hotel of New Orleans
If you ask any New Orleans native, they will tell you that visiting the Roosevelt Waldorf Hotel during the holidays is a must-do tradition. Since the 1930s, the Roosevelt Hotel lobby has featured stunning Christmas trees and dazzling holiday lights that tell a spirited story of New Orleans holiday magic. Greenway Supernova is an outdoor, light installation exhibit that takes place on the Lafitte Greenway. The event will highlight the works of New Orleans-based artists, musicians, and of course, great food. Greenway Supernova will run from December 8th-10th.
Luna Fête is a luminary arts festival that features captivating light installations. This year’s exhibit will highlight the history of New Orleans costumes and craftsmanship. The event takes place in the New Orleans Arts District from Julia Street to Henderson Avenue from December 15th-18th.
NOLA Christmas Fest is an indoor holiday festival that transforms the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center into a winter wonderland. The event features carnival rides, an ice skating rink, and lots of holiday cheer. NOLA Christmas Fest happens December 17th-22nd and the 25th-30th.
