75-Unit Condo Building Planned for Bywater
Several new developments have been slated for the Bywater area including a smaller development called 32 Hundred Development and a 105-unit project. The newest of the bunch is a 75-unit development from Ward Investments. This $3.2 million project is a residential condo building that is being called The Saxony.
The Saxony is expected to be completed come spring of 2018 and will take over an old abandoned warehouse at 3925 Burgundy Street. This specific development will be found less than one mile from another mixed-used condom project already in the works in Bywater.
Six reservation units have been listed for the property ranging in price from $325,900 to $642,500. The units in the building will be a mixture of one, two and three bedroom choices and will reach as much as 1,500 square feet. Two private balconies and a private terrace will also be a part of the penthouse unit for the building.
The Saxony is expected to stand five stories tall and have units starting around $189,000. The units will all be outfitted with European style cabinets and hardwood flooring. In addition, the building will provide a swimming pool, a fitness center, meeting rooms and gated parking.
The renderings show an outdoor pool and deck area, along with plenty of landscaping around the building. Appliances within the units are expected to be stainless steel, while the cabinets will be white in color. Each unit will have an island and the renderings also show a double vanity in the bathroom with a tub and a separate walk0in shower.
This same property was expected to be developed back in 2015, but the project never got off the ground. It was purchased by Ward Investments in 2015 for $3.2 million from Shea Embry. Developer Shea Embry had proposed converting the property into what was going to be called ICinola, a mixed-used development that never got off the ground.
Construction for the new project is expected to start in September
and the building will open in the spring. Units will range from $189,000
to $642,500. This is just one of many new projects coming to the
Bywater area.
