2021: The Year Of The New Normal
Rêve team at the Top Producer Luncheon
2021 may have been the year of the new normal, but there was nothing ordinary about the memories we made this year. Following the shutdown, Rêve was ready to get back to business, laughs, and philanthropic work. This year was a great whirlwind for us and reminded us why we love our Rêve | Realtors so much. Below is a reflection of our top memories of 2021.
Together Again
Although the world slowed down in 2020, Rêve agents continued to thrive. Producing some of the top numbers in the New Orleans market. Based on data from NOMAR, in 2020, Rêve had a market share of over 8.5%, closed 782 sales, and had a sales volume of over 335 million with an average of 32 days on market. In true Rêve fashion, this fantastic accomplishment had to be celebrated! In April 2021, Rêve agents and staff gathered for a time of celebration and recognition, honoring the brokerage’s top producers. It was the first time everyone was together post-pandemic, and many great memories were made. Our Director of Finance and Operations, Rebecca Martinez, notes, “Top Producer Luncheon was a highlight for me!! It was so special to all be together safely and at the establishment of our dear Danny! And the after-party was a blast!”

Expanding The Rêve Family
Despite the pandemic, in 2020, Rêve doubled its agents’ roster. In 2021, they increased this number by adding several new agents to the Rêve team. Currently, Rêve has over 100 agents on their roster and some of the top producing agents in the Southeast Louisiana region. Newly signed Rêve agent Chris Gerarve says, “I’m thrilled to join Rêve because I know the competitive yet collaborative culture will always challenge and push me to reach my goals while establishing real connections with my clients and lasting friendships with my coworkers!!”

“Some of my very favorite moments are just in the office when we’re all there working diligently and chatting over coffee. I also love when Chips (Aaron Ross’ corgi) comes to visit! More than anything, I love feeling like part of a family.” – Michelle LaBanca
Lending A Helping Hand To The Bayou
Throughout the entire year of 2021, Rêve supported numerous organizations. Donating their time and resources to local nonprofits and organizations each month. In August 2021, Hurricane Ida impacted Southeast Louisiana. The bayou parishes were affected the most post-hurricane, leaving several residents displaced and without homes. Rebecca Martinez, Director of Finance and Operations for Rêve, organized a volunteer day and supplies drop-off to assist the Pointe-Au-Chien Native American Tribe located in the bayou parishes of Louisiana. Our volunteer day in Pointe-Au-Chien left an imprint on us all. We bonded with tribal members as we assisted with clearing debris from their homes. Mrs. B and Uncle Jake, tribal members of Pointe-Au-Chien, will be a part of our Rêve family and in our hearts foRêver. “Despite everything the tribal members have gone through, they remain gracious and hold onto a sense of hope and resilience, and they are committed to honoring their land and rebuilding. It’s very inspiring to witness,” says Deveney Marshall, Social Media Manager for Rêve.

Merry Festivities and Holiday Cheer
As 2021 came to a close, Rêve agents and staff gathered at the home of Scott James and Greg Morey for a Holiday party to remember. Dazzling holiday decorations were on display, drinks were flowing, and lots of cheer gleamed from party-goers faces. A festive spirit surrounded the party, and it was so lovely to see everyone laughing and filled with glee. “It did my heart SO MUCH GOOD to be with my beloved colleagues sharing laughs, hugs, and holiday cheer after missing everyone for so many months. Plus, everyone cleans up really well,” notes Suzy Lamore, Rêve agent.

As we reflect on this year, our hearts are filled with joy. 2021 was a great year for us at Rêve, and we can not thank you enough for supporting us on our journey. Cheers to an even better 2022!
