The French Quarter neighborhood is by far the most recognizable and most popular in New Orleans. It’s filled with places to eat, entertainment venues, bars, nightlife and, of course, great shopping. Here’s a quick look at some of the best places to shop in the French Quarter.

Canal Place

Found at 333 Canal Street, the shopping at Canal Place is some of the best in the entire city. The Shops at Canal Place offer a number of very exclusive and upscale options. The Westin New Orleans Canal Place is found here, as well, and offers some of the most amazing views of the river, great dining options and so much more.

Some of the incredible shops found here include:

Jax Brewery

It may not sound like a place to shop, but Jax Brewery is one of the most unique and best shopping destinations in New Orleans. It’s located at 600 Decatur Street in the French Quarter neighborhood. The building was once a brewing and bottling house for Jax Beer and dates back to 1891.

It’s not a brewery anymore and today it houses some of the best shops in the city. In addition, it’s home to a museum devoted to the brewery and plenty of great dining options.

The old facility has been beautifully renovated and houses all kinds of shops, such as:

It’s also home to the Jackson Brewery Bistro Bar and the Silver Salon.

When talking about shopping options in the French Quarter, the French Market must be included. This charming open-air market offers all kinds of shopping options, along with dining choices and plenty of entertainment. It’s one of the best markets in the entire city and located at 2 French Market Place.

The market goes from Cafe du Monde to the end of Esplanade Avenue and offers five blocks of produce, crafts, art and so much more. You’ll find options, such as WhatsNew, A Tisket a Tasket, Voodoo Harley Davidson, Lalosh Silver and Ooh Lala within the market.
