Upcoming Event: Best of the Bayou Festival

Coming on Friday, September 22nd and Saturday, September 23rd, the Best of the Bayou Festival will take over the historic Downtown area of Houma. This two-day event will feature two stages of live music with some of the best national headliners and plenty of Louisiana talent. It will be a fun-filled weekend with plenty of music for everybody to enjoy.

The Best of the Bayou Music Festival is one of the area’s premier events and provides great music from all over the local area. It’s a great place to enjoy Cajun cuisine, handmade crafts and there’s even fun for kids to enjoy. Proceeds from the festival will help to fund grants for music departments of high schools found in Terrebonne Parish.

Line-up

The event will feature many acts including headliners Cowboy Mouth and 30 Special. Other top acts will include the Jordan Anderson Band, Flowtribe and LeRoux. Others expected to take the stage include:

  •          Gregg Martinez & The Delta Kings’ Swamp Pop Revue Featuring GG Shinn & TK Hulin
  •          Nathan and The Zydeco Cha-Chas
  •          AYO
  •          Jeff McCarthy
  •          Robin Barnes & The Fiyabirds
  •          Corey Ledet and His Zydeco Band
  •          Lost Bayou Ramblers
  •          Sweet Cecilia
  •          The Josh Garrett Band
  •          Jonathon Boogie Long

All of these artists will provide great entertainment for those in attendance.

Other Events

Along with the music, those in attendance can enjoy the handmade arts and crafts, a classic car show, plenty of food and even a 5K Glow Run. The classic car show will include the Cajun Corvette Club and will showcase plenty unique cars for all to check out.

Sponsored by 96.7 KCIL, the Glow Run 5K Walk/Run will be held on Saturday starting at 7:30pm. The event will provide participants with limited drink tickets and festival admittance. A t-shirt will be given to those pre-registering by September 9th, as well,

Tickets

Get your tickets early and you will be able to save. Buying a weekend pass on the Best of the Bayou website (https://bestofthebayou.la/) will cost $10 for both days. However, if you buy at the door, you will pay $10 for each day. Make sure you get your tickets early and save. Pre-sale, online ticket sales will end on September 15th.

Times and Dates

The festival will be held on Friday, September 22nd and on Saturday September 23d. It will run from 5pm to 11pm on Friday and from 12pm to 11pm on Saturday.
