The Saints: Our Salvation

It’s pretty safe to say that Saints fans are beyond thrilled for football to return to the Superdome! And while we wish we could be there in person, we’re just so happy to be a part of the Who Dat nation, watching our boys and cheering them on from our dens, porches, party rooms and backyards – or wherever our big screen TVs are.

In addition to the amazing spirit and camaraderie that Saints’ football brings to New Orleans – at a time when everyone can really use it — there’s also a lot to look forward to in this 1^st game and this season.

A few highlights we’re currently high-fiving about:

Drew Brees, our fearless leader, is taking on Tom Brady in week #1. Talk about a QB rivalry! We’re here for it. Also, with the amazing “Swiss Army Knife” Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston as backups, the Saints have the quarterback position wrapped up.
A member of our 2009-2010 Super Bowl winning team, safety Malcolm Jenkins returns to the Saints! Coming from the Philadelphia Eagles, Jenkins is a three time pro-bowler and joins our defense headed up by leading sacker Cameron Jordan.
An excellent wide receiver hailing from the 49ers, Emmanuel Sanders will be another strong target for Drew. Woo hoo!
The Saints’ 1st round draft pick from Michigan, Cesar Ruiz will start as right guard. And with Ryan Ramczyk and Terron Armstread – the best tackle duo in the NFL — our offensive line will be one of the best in the league.
And of course, who’s not fired up to see what Alvin Kamara and Latavius Murray will bring to the party as running backs?
