Giving Thanks and Giving Back

This holiday season, we’re giving thanks for our success and giving back to the community we love by supporting the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana — a non-profit organization working to combat the land loss that threatens Louisiana communities, culture and economy. With expertise in policy, science, outreach, and on-the-ground restoration, the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana brings together a diverse and non-partisan set of interests, connecting with thousands of people each year through partnerships, members, and volunteers who plant marsh grasses and trees across our coast, attend conferences, and educate themselves through the organization’s newsletters.
By donating, we’re supporting their Christmas Tree Recycling Program which recycles and places Christmas Trees in the Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge to create new marshland habitat. And for a simple and delicious way to make a difference, we’ll be dining at New Orleans-area restaurants that take part in their Oyster Shell Recycling Program, which collects shells and uses them to restore oyster reefs that protect our eroding coastline.
In addition, we’re looking forward to volunteering at their upcoming Manchac Swamp Reforestation Planting Events and Restoring Urban Swamp Habitat Planting Events in January.
Won’t you be in that number? Join us and learn more about their mission to rebuild coastal Louisiana through outreach, restoration and advocacy.
