Meet Sissy Blewster, a Rêve agent who has solidified her title as a top producer in the New Orleans market.
Sissy’s Real Estate Evolution
From a very early age, Sissy was introduced to real estate. Growing up, she and her family moved quite often, and each time they would deal with the process of buying and selling a home. When Sissy was 13 years old, her dad noticed she had a keen niche for how the real estate business worked and insisted she consider it as her career. However, she pursued fashion merchandising instead, attending Louisiana State University and The Art Institutes for Retail Management. Following her brief career in merchandising, Sissy experienced an epiphany moment and realized her dad had been right all along. Real estate was the path for her. “I was folding laundry when something in me clicked. I was in my early 20s with a toddler and just trying to figure out my path, and I told myself, “Just do that thing you really love.” I was sitting at a broker’s office the next week and figuring out how to make it happen.” Says Sissy.
Sissy’s Formula To Success
Sissy quickly realized she was intuitively good at being an agent. After only one year, her sales volume numbers were through the roof, and she was receiving accolades for her outstanding work and dedication to her clients. Within her first year, she earned both the Top Producer and Rising Star Awards at her brokerage. In 2019, Sissy brought her talents to Rêve | Realtors. Since joining the brokerage, she has continued to thrive as an agent. So what are Sissy’s keys to success? Passion, a tenacious work ethic, and a solid team. Sissy says, “I work really hard. I have an assistant who is my right-hand woman and helps me in three places at once, and then I have a transaction coordinator who keeps sales on track and helps facilitate communication.”
From Move To NOLA to Giving Back To NOLA
In addition to being a star agent, Sissy is heavily involved in the New Orleans community. She serves on the board as secretary for STAIR NOLA, a non-profit reading intervention program for at-risk youth. This organization is near and dear to Sissy’s heart, and she goes above and beyond to ensure the students have the tools they need to succeed in life. In 2021, Sissy nominated STAIR NOLA for Rêve | Realtors’ monthly giveback initiative, helping the organization to receive funding. “I remember being one of those students, having challenges with reading, working with a local org like STAIR allows me to see how the smallest difference in a child’s life can make an impact on an entire community.” Says Sissy.
Life Beyond Real Estate
When Sissy isn’t helping her clients find their dream homes or devoting her time to STAIR NOLA, you can find her enjoying the company of her loved ones. Sissy says, “I love traveling with my family. One of our favorite things to do is collect shells everywhere we visit.”
Onward and Upward
It’s been one decade since Sissy has been in real estate, and she continuously proves why she deserves the title of Top Producer. Currently, she is working on her own development projects and has sold 10 houses in the first quarter of 2022.
