The French Quarter is filled with music clubs you can enjoy. Here’s a look at some of the best choices throughout the French Quarter.
Pat O’Brien’s – 718 St. Peter Street
Many call this Pat O’s and it’s one of the most popular places in the French Quarter. While it’s known for the Hurricane, the piano lounge offers plenty of great music.
Preservation Hall – 726 St. Peter Street
Another music club found on St. Peter Street, Preservation Hall offers a great place to enjoy live music. It has been around for about 40 years and fills to capacity often. This is one of the hottest spots for New Orleans jazz from veteran and up-and-coming musicians. There isn’t a bar or climate control here, but the lines are usually out the door.
Frizzle’s European Jazz Pub – 733 Bourbon Street

A very popular spot with plenty of traditional jazz, Fritzel’s offers live music every day of the week. They are known for having special musical guests during the Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras.
Maison Bourbon Jazz Club – 641 Bourbon Street
A place you will find plenty of great jazz, the Maison Bourbon Jazz Club offers plenty of great choices. Live jazz bands are found here often and it’s a popular spot to enjoy.
Balcony Music Club – 1331 Decatur Street
Found between Frenchmen and Bourbon Street, this music club offers one of the best in the French Quarter. Many up-and-coming artists will be featured here with more than just jazz on the stage. They also feature blues and funk. This is known as a must visit for anybody coming to New Orleans and locals frequent this spot.
RF’s Restaurant – 301 Dauphine Street
An upscale restaurant and martini bistro, RF’s offers live music with nightly jazz to enjoy. The restaurant is one of the best in the French Quarter and the music is great. In fact, this is one of the favorite spots in New Orleans of designer Michael Kors.
Bourbon Cowboy – 241 Bourbon Street
It’s known for the mechanical bull, but it’s also a great spot for music. Bourbon Cowboy is a unique spot offering plenty of fun to enjoy.
Kerry Irish Pub – 331 Decatur Street
If you love an Irish Pub, Kerry’s is the place for you. This spot offers Irish music, along with jazz, blues and folk music every night of the week. You’ll feel right at home here and it’s a great time in the French Quarter.
