Rêve Cares: New Orleans City Park
New Orleans City Park is one of the oldest urban parks in the country. For over 170 years, New Orleans City Park has provided access to abundant natural and cultural resources to residents of the region and tourists from around the world.
City Park is home to the New Orleans Botanical Garden, Couturie Forest and Arboretum, the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Louisiana Children’s Museum. The Botanical Garden is home to more than 2,000 varieties of plants, the Couturie Forest has 8 distinct ecosystems, and over 280 bird species have been sighted in the Park. City Park has the largest grove of mature live oaks in the world, some of which are nearly 800 years old.
Although City Park is known for outdoor fun, athletic pursuits, and its recreational and cultural amenities, the City Park Conservancy and Improvement Association is committed to preserving natural habitats and promoting inclusivity in science by offering diverse park programming. Volunteer scientists host community events to educate the public on the importance of protecting natural resources and greenspaces.
Rêve | Realtors are proud supporters of City Park and in the past have served as merry makers, which helps supports efforts that host the world-famous Celebration In The Oaks.
