Rêve | Realtor License ID: SALE.69063-ACT
Bonita Day has been a real estate professional since 2004 and joined Rêve Realtors in 2020. She specializes in working with buyers making a new start or a big transition, and as a top producer, she’s knowledgeable about neighborhoods across the city -- including Uptown, Irish Channel, Bywater, Marigny, Treme and Freret.
With a bachelor’s degree in fine art from LSU and a masters in fine art from Tulane, Bonita has a great eye for style, structure, quality, and value in the marketplace. But real estate is also in her blood. Working with her family and utilizing historic tax credits, Bonita was able to save a 50,000 square foot, 1890s factory building in the Irish Channel by renovating it and putting it back into commerce. And her family's real estate investment business continues to identify, renovate, and build homes in the historic Irish Channel. Becoming a realtor was a natural progression for Bonita, and she has never looked back.
Bonita’s solid design, renovation, and construction experience allows her to find properties that perfectly match a client’s style, and she loves helping clients hunt, shop, and make the best move they can make. In fact, happy clients rave about her talents. Says one, “Thanks to Bonita, I was able to purchase an amazingly gorgeous redone shotgun in my favorite neighborhood – and because I trusted her absolutely, I did it sight unseen. It’s a big deal to find a realtor that actually listens to what the client is seeking and understands it, and Bonita is utterly magical with that trait.” Claims another repeat client, “Trust, honesty, communication, and dedication are traits that make for a great real estate agent, and Bonita has these great traits plus a stellar personality – helping me sell two homes and purchase my most recent home.”
Committed to helping others in all areas of their lives, Bonita travelled to India to become a certified Kundalini yoga and meditation instructor, and is a founder and Board President of YEAH! Yoga, a non-profit dedicated to bringing the tools of yoga and mindfulness to youth who are incarcerated or who have been impacted by the carceral system.
